Feedback required: Load cart from session to allow registered users

Should the load cart from session feature be updated to allow authenticated users too? How can it be addressed to support auto login without asking the users to re-login?

Currently if you wanted to load a cart session for an authenticated user, you would have to set this filter cocart_secure_registered_users to false but the user must not be logged in already on the site.
